1953 Selmer Super Balanced Action Tenor Saxophone 51,xxx- Premium Overhaul & Lights Out Player!

Blue Note Winds is proud to offer another premium playing Selmer Super balanced action tenor saxophone. These horns are coveted for their lyrical voice that can really not be compared to any other saxophone out there! These horns are becoming very hard to find and this one is in really nice cosmetic shape. Comes with its original neck which is also in perfect shape. This is a European assembled model with a serial number of 51,xxx. The horn was stripped of its finish and this is a very high end job where the bare brass was hand polished throughout. The benifit of this process is that the brass will patina evenly as it ages. It was given a premium overhaul with pisoni pads and feels like a new horn under your fingers. Action is light and fast! These later SBA’s are known to be the most projecting of all of the sba’s and specifically play beautifully and powerful up top and throughout the palm keys. You can really lean into them on this horn- like a great mark vi.
