197,xxx Selmer Mark VI Tenor Sax

Today we’re offering a wonderful playing 197xxx Selmer mark vi tenor sax. It’s had an overhaul from the late and legendary Ken Beason and seems to have very low playing hours on it since the work. Ken was one of the best technicians to ever touch a saxophone and unfortunately is no longer with us. His overhauls were $1200 alone. He used his brass resonators and made a few ergonomic improvements including palm key risers for both the left and right hand, as well as a modernized high G key for ease in altissimo. This horn is original but has had all of the laq professionally removed and it’s started to get a gorgeous patina. There has been a few small resolders but the body is very straight and this one is extremely responsive and a lights out player! I’d put it up against the best mark vi’s out there! Will be shipped in an aftermarket case.
